There is there a voice?! Introduction: Mk 1:2-3 A messenger; will prepare, a voice of one calling. Jn 1:23 I am the voice of one calling. 1. Jonah 1:1. The word of the Lord Yet he fled, each cried out to own god, threw cargo over, below deck, asleep in chaos. Is the church there- in that condition are we? 2. Jonah 3:1 The word of the Lord came a second time. proclaim to it the message I give you. Jonah obeyed, had a word, was bold, after an encounter with Him ,you will never be the same again. You become a voice in a voice. 3. Lk 1:8-22 It was a duty, routine practice, Gabriel spoke, gave a message, Zechariah had a question of unbelief. Mary had a question of information. Zechariah was mute. Muted due to unbelief are we? I am Gabriel; I stand in the presence of God, I have been sent to speak to you and tell you this good news, And now you will be silent. Are we to make signs of muted reality to the lost, or do we have faith? 4. Lk 1:62 His name is John. Outside of family, no common name, as it is written, all filled with awe, hills, all talking about it! Conclusion: Jonah 2:8-9 Let our voices ring as we break the sound barrier of life! Stand in the presence of the Lord, there you will be a voice.

First off, one of the presenters reminded us about the principles of a kingdom mindset in business. The Lord said to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-2 “Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing (ESV).”

On Wednesday evening 24th March, the 3Ci Business Forum turned momentarily away from the business of business and focused on that often scary area of personal finances. For who can even think of running a successful business when their personal finances are in disarray? In the arena of learning about business from the perspective of the Kingdom of God, this is even more important. This evening was devoted to the area of personal finances and developing and managing a Kingdom budget in our homes.
Piet spoke briefly about the cost of discipleship as illustrated by Jesus in Luke 14:28 “For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? (ESV)” Jesus here compares the cost of discipleship to a physical thing – the cost of building a tower. Drawing this out into the physical world of planning and designing and costing the materials and labour, it becomes clear that planning is an important consideration in any project – especially the lifelong “project” of being a disciple.
