Discerning divine direction through circumstances.

Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Isaiah 55:10 "it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose..."

Luke 4:1-2 "And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil."

Acts 2:37-38 "Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart... And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Dealing with our stubborn will may be the most important single factor in discerning and doing the will of God.

God is our shepherd. He wants us to know his will but this requires us to follow him.

Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
